Tea Consumption

When I drink tea, I use the big mug. You know... the one that is suppose to be bigger than is decent, the one that civilized people only ever fill half way, the one that requires pulleys and a lever just to move from the table to your mouth, the one that could flood a studio apartment should you accidentally spill... that one.

I used to have a little bit of a guilty conscious about drinking so much tea. However, this morning I had a realization that may change my life forever (mostly because people will probably always think of me as slightly dafter once they read what I have to say and realize I should have thought of this approximately six years ago). The realization is that while my mug is larger, I'm still only using one tea bag. Therefore, I may actually be a healthier tea drinker than the average person.

Think about it... people who drink small mugs of tea are getting the same dose of herbs and caffeine as I am, just in a more concentrated quantity. I am actually putting more liquid in my body than the average tea drinker... hell's yeah for hydration!

I have a mug of tea with me as I write this. I feel oddly liberated when I guzzle these days!
